58 special guests came along to our second fundraising event at Southwater Village Hall, on Saturday 5th. July. A local band named The Barnstormers sponsored this event for The Springboard Project.
Fred and his Barnstormers played for us for free. Both Eileen & Margaret would like to thank them for giving up their time to support us in our fundraising endeavours.
Each guest paid £10 per ticket, which included their first drink from the bar, plus tortillas and dips. Plus of course, an evening of music and dancing!
There was a raffle on the night, and a name the bear competition!
A fun evening was had by all! There was not a space on the dance floor! It was great to see everyone up and dancing, having fun and socialising so well.
We cannot thank the band enough, as without them this event would not have taken place. We could not have held a Barn Dance without a band! The wonderful thing is that Fred offered to play for us for free, we didn't even have to ask!
The important bit!
We raised £860 ,with the support of family and our amazing friends!
Thanks once more to all who donated prizes for the raffle.
